Associates in the programming pathway at Newton College and Career Academy in Covington developed this game to help create a video game to encourage practices of keeping our community clean.
Students utilized online game development platform Game Salad, which offered free access to their software during the COVID-19 pandemic to make this game during the 2020-21 school year.
Phu Ly, a 10th grade associate in the Career Academy and Madison Phillips, an 11th grade associate collaborated to create the winning game, Gree Ecosystem. Ly wrote the code and Phillips designed the animated Detective Seymore Green.
The game took three months to write, edit the code and test before the final product was completed.
