Coaches Corner

We are always looking for volunteers to help coach!

Purpose of Coaching: 
Create a positive learning environment where the children learn sportsmanship, fundamental skills, teamwork, and responsibility. Newton County Recreation programs emphasize skill, development, fair play, teamwork, cooperation, sportsmanship, responsibility, and fun. Each participant should be provided the opportunity to play in every game, and play different positions on the field/court.

Coaching Information:

Parent Responsibility

Parents must be willing to abide by the following:

  • If a player misses three consecutive practices, or if a player misses six practices during a season without a valid reason, he/she will be removed from the roster.
  • Parents are not allowed to leave players un-chaperoned at practice or games. Players will be removed from the team if parents do not comply.
