Newton County broke ground on Spring Hill Park, being built in a community that currently does not have a county park and green space. The park, funded by the 2017 SPLOST, will feature green space, a playground, a pavilion and community center.
The 2017 SPLOST project was approved by voters for a total of $495,000, and later was assigned unallocated funds for a total budget of $5,995,00.
The park is expected to be completed by summer of 2024.
